Farmhouse Christmas

As usual my boyfriend, Todd, has managed to take me somewhere interesting on our dates. Actually we decided to stay in that night to have pizza and a movie, but before that we had to make a stop.

Down the street from his house is a special kind of place. An old renovated farm house that was donated to the city. As you walk into the house you are taken away by the delicious aroma of freshly baked cookies. The house and the smiling faces that greet you are so inviting. On this night a girl scout troop was there, and a few of the girls gave us a tour of the house. Every room is inviting and decorated with the spirit of Christmas. There is at least one tree in every room of the house, such as the one above.

That is not all, attached to the side of the house was an extra room with glass walls. As you drive by the house you see Santa sitting there in his sleigh, all dressed in his usual Christmas attire. Could this be?? Santa in a sleigh for me to see?? In the house we went, to find an inviting Santa waiting there for us to take a seat along with him in his wonderful red sleigh. We introduce ourselves, but we know that he already knows us, since we have both been on the "nice" list all year long. He lets us take our photos and Todd and I are off to enjoy the rest of our evening together. What a nice way to start a relaxing evening with someone special.

Our visit to the farm house was enchanting but watching the little girl emurge from that beautiful grown up woman in Rhonda was worth a lifetime of store bought presents. Isnt it amazing no matter how old we get "the big guy" (Santa) still represents all of our hopes and dreams of something innocent and pure during the Christmas season. Merry Christmas,
Todd
