Clean Sweep

Have you ever seen the show Clean Sweep on TLC? I have been watching quite a bit of it lately with all of my spare time I have now. This show has almost motivated me enough to tackle some of the junk that I have collected over the years. Did you catch that key word? almost. Yeah, almost but I'm not nearly there yet. Maybe if I watch a few more episodes this week I'll give it a Clean Sweep this weekend. YEAH RIGHT. I'll get back to you with this one.

Note: I accidently posted this to 365 Dreams instead of this blog. I was wondering why when I posted it there and viewed the blog I saw a city street. Of course maybe I could consider this post a dream, because it probably isn't a reality.

In theory, I love the idea of a clean sweep, but procrastination usually gets the better of me. The rare times I do manage to throw things out are very rewarding. I always feel a little less burdened when I've gotten rid of extra stuff that I don't need.

I find it awfully hard to depart with my stuff, but I think it is about time that I do. I seriously have stuff that I have not used in years, but refuse to get rid of. I really do believe that a life with less clutter would probably make me much happier. Just like walking into a house after working all day to find a mess brings me down.

I find that whenever I get rid of something I don't need, I invariably end up needing it again as soon as it's gone. As a result, I have developed packrat tendencies.

cube-I have too, but I am seriously thinking that it is something that I need to get over. I'm tired of having too much crap, and not being organized.

what you don't see on Clean Sweep is the team of half a dozen staff who's job it is to shove things in boxes and bins and schlep it out to the yard. That's 90% of the work right there.

Okay, you've made up my mind. I'm not doing it until I have the folks from Clean Sweep to come over and do it for me.
